anyone ever install a pillar gauge pod?

anyone ever install a pillar gauge pod?

Postby MightyG54BTMax » Mon Sep 14, 2009 4:54 pm

Im thining about fabricating up one of those universal 3 gauge pillar pod things for my EGT, boost, and wideband, but the lack of angel on the a pillar is what scares me. The only one gauge pod ive seen in person doesnt look like id be able to see the gauges (pointing more towards the roof). Thoughts or suggestions?

Yes I had one in my mightymax. It was only a double pod though. The pillar is kind of flat so it will take some time with a heat gun to get the pod to fit right, but overall i loved it in my truck.

I bought a generic single gauge pod from advanced auto parts. Doesnt fit perfect but gets the job done. Whoever had my truck before me put the speakers in the bottom of the door towards the front and took out the bar that holds the door from swinging wide open so I have to be carefukl not to smack stuff with my door. I later cut some holes for 6x9 speakers in the cab sides above the seat belts.
Drive it like u stole it

Getting a little off topic now. Lol. We have a thread on adding speakers somewhere on the board. I have a 5" tach with shift light on my dash. I mounted it on the left of the cluster on the dash. The shift light I repositioned it so it's on the right of the cluster kind of hidden if you look in from the front windshield. I have my boost gauge in a pod that is mounted to the tach. No a-pillar pods, just another option.
