J-50

I'll be the first to post, I am assuming that this is the section for "abortions and home made bastards" (VW reference)

When the motor died in my DD D-50 I hit up craigslist to find full length 3/4 ton axles and a 350 to make a big little truck. I received an email from a guy that had a jeepster with mid 80's 3/4 ton running gear, a 350/350. After a couple of emails we settled on a price of $400, I seen a couple of pictures, that I no longer have, and he even said he would deliver it for free. I thought I couldn't be getting a better deal, until I seen the damn thing sitting on my trailer. Not only did he deliver it to me while I was working one weekend, he loaded it on the trailer I had with me. He asked me what I was going to do with it and I told him - make a D-50 a 3/4 ton. He was shocked, the thing was actually sitting on a D-50 chassis set up for a small block. And then I actually started to look at the ... "vehicle"

I don't have any close up pictures of the welds, but if you could imagine a 5 year old trying to learn how to arc weld and you might BEGIN to grasp the hash-ery. Pictures do not do this thing justice
Not to mention the fact that the 350 is actually a 305 and the TH350 is a 200r4

Here is a Honda 600. They came with 10" rims and a 2 cylinder air cooled. But some one did a little work to this one..
