Or you could just pay the FRICKEN $75 dollars and be done with it. Come on people, quit being cheap bastards and fix it the right way. This a/c switch thing you are describing wont help him a bit if the air bladder in the diaphragm is bad. It would open the secondaries temporarily, but will close right back. The diaphragm is only going to get worse as time goes by.Maybe he could just get a real long extension cord for his shop vac and turn it on when he reaches a hill he needs to pull.
