Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I'm not too sure about a short Throw shifter availible for our trucks. I seen my friends 240 shifter, but compared only the amount of bolts hold it down. Never thought about it, really.

Re: starting problem

Too much compression might be a valve timing issue. I can't think of any thing else on the top of my head. I'm sorry but I would say you should check the marks on all the gears again.

Re: project mighty simple

True. They did some work but I remember a few that did everything without z-ing the frame for the engine. Well, keep up the good work.

Re: project mighty simple

Ah. Okay. I was wondering about the design. Have you given any thoughts on rolling the pinch? Also I remember a few builds on mightyd50 that layed frame without z-ing it. They pie cut the upper and lower control arms, and that's all I remember. It was a while ago.

Re: starting problem

You might have jumped timing. Have you checked compression? I would start with that, and see from there. Since your battery is fine and motor spins freely without resistance.

Re: 2.0 Ignition coil wiring!

I am at work right now and get off late tonight. I might be able to help you out with this one when I get home or maybe tomorrow if someone doesn't beat me to it. I still have me oem engine harness in the truck and the motor is still out. I should be able to backtrace for you. You have a picture of ...

Re: project mighty simple

I'm sorry but I don't quite understand the consept of the square tubing designed like that. Also, removing the engine mounts tells me you won't be using the 2.4 anymore, or you are going to do a body drop and modify where the engine sits in the bay.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Good choice. I took a bfh to my firewall and used the 1.8 1990 thermostat housing to keep the outlet from pointing too far into the firewall. I don't regret it cause it was more to spend.

Re: Front end leveling?

With torsion bars, all you have to do is use a tape measure to a specified point, and crank on the adjustment point to the desired ride height. You can go a little deeper and re index the torsion bar, but that involves removing the torsion bar and reinstalling the torsion bar in a reindexed manner. ...

Re: Brakes and Rear

Can't get much better then oem. You can always swap the rear end for aftermarket support. The ford explorer 8.8 rear end is a popular setup. Rear disc brakes and LSD. Also the Toyota rear end swap is another option. A little more narrow and more work then just a custom driveshaft. If not then a Mits...
