I think people use the 3000gt maf adapter. Other than that you'd have to figure out where you want the filter and just buy the correct bends and couplers.

never tried to bolt up the isuzu fenders to a max, I have some you can try if you want. On the carb check any of the vacuum lines in that area. Also make sure the bolts and studs are tight. About the bogging out I have no idea, i've run a weber on both my trucks.

I have some of those tires in that exact size. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to fit them with a t-bar crank. Not sure about the sway-away bars, i didn't even know anyone made after market t-bars for these trucks.
I like manual steering because alot of power steering has a "fake" feel to it. I like steering response not playing a video game with my steering wheel. Not to mention not having an extra pump to run off the motor
