like jim said is right. The pins on the printed circuit board on that back of the cluster should also be labeled. On my isuzu it had a wire going to the ecu as a tach signal i guess but the stock cluster had no tach. So when i swapped clusters i found what pin in the plug was for the tach and ran it...

i remember on one model there was a plug on the firewall that you had to plug in in order for the tach to work. But i've always just ran a wire from the tach input on the cluster to the negative side of the coil.

they made a fiberglass cowl hood for second gens, its expensive though. around $500 if i remember correctly. You could make your own out of some metal and a stock hood for far less. they make forged rods in Australia. They also make a manifold over there that will fit both the 2.6 and 2.3. as for pistons, i haven't decided yet.

pulled the head off today. Found water and oil in 3 of the cylinders. The head gasket isnt blown. No visible cracks in the head but that doesn't mean they aren't there. But the head is visibly warped around the 4th cyl. I havent check it with a straight edge yet to see how bad it is but if i can see...
