Re: 1989 2.0L

Theres a thread on here about someone else looking for a set of paired port headers for their truck. You think about spraying it with that cheap ceramic coat spray paint? I don't know of anyone personally spraying the stock cast piece before. Unless full custom stainless is in your shop activities. ...

The pruning process eliminated users who signed up and never posted, as well as a few people who haven't been on for years. I seen them get moved to guest status. I do hope to see this move further along though.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Scored a 93 mightymax grill at the junkyard on monday. It was painted black and gray. I want to see if I can remove the paint and see if it has the chrome look under the paint. If not, then I'll repaint it flat black or acrylic black. I found a total of 4 mightymax/d50 truck in the junk yard, and th...

Re: Help! Nobody Has Paired Port Exhaust Manifold Anymore!

My 89 mightymax 2.0 was a paired port. I had a few confusing carb problems and I was never a carb guy. Not putting the carb down, but I don't have enough knowledge about em to take it apart, let alone put it back together. I just stood by what I'm used to and went fuel injected. There are options on...

Re: exhaust

I think my trucks stock exhaust was 2 inches. I had a cat below the cab and the exhaust itself was under the bed. Don't have the g63b in it anymore, or the oem truck piping anymore. Sorry.

Re: tach clusters

I've seen people pull the needles on hondas before installing that reverse glow stuff for their clusters and their gauges were ways off by doing so. Even inoperative gauges happened. Any of that happen to you by pulling the needles?

Re: Help! Nobody Has Paired Port Exhaust Manifold Anymore!

I think the first post was edited..... Didn't have that much information he first time. Or did I skim throught it..... well for starters, you could always get the laser streetable, then put the truck in project mode and go back to the laser. That's what I'm doing right now with the talon. Bl...

Re: what can the stock rear-end take

So far it shows that it holds power from the 4g63 turbo motors for more then 300 horsepower. But of course the 4wd LSD rear end in the mongrel, ram 50 and mightymax trucks may hold it better then the open diff. I'll second that it should hold the power of that v8.

Re: using 4g63 clutch and flywheel on my truck

The 4g63 turbo flywheel would not be reachable with the awd flywheel, but would be with the fwd flywheel. This is true with the narrow blocks. The truck clutch disc would be a little smaller with the dsm pressure plate and flywheel and would be more suited with the star quest oem cluth dimensions. R...

Re: Help! Nobody Has Paired Port Exhaust Manifold Anymore!

Hi. I'm a little confused with this thread a bit. You can always get a custom paired port headsets for your truck made but the won't be cheap. Best option would probably be salvage yard digs for a replacement.

Also port matching, I think easiest would be the described method with wither a sharpie.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Re: first time build: where to start

Well, first off how far stripped down are they? I know the gas engines the caps have to match the block. Can't swap them out from block to block and so fourth. I guess that's a good way to start. Otherwise you can save yourself the headache and bring all your stuff to a machine shop with your credit...
