Re: how to

Not a lot of people would update that. Also wouldn't help if you had multiple trucks. Kinda like, can't show it all off kinda thing.

Re: Intake leaking coolant

You said you bought a new engine. How much of the old engine was used? I know more about the 4g64 in an eclipse then I do the mighty max. I know on the eclipse, it has a oil cooler on the oil filter housing that has engine coolant flowing through it. I would start with the basic compression test, th...

Re: much, much of work ..... LOL!!!

Hi. The cab seems to be in great shape, and the frame seems pretty good. The bed looks a little rough and you'll need a new grill and front bumper. Got any plans on paint? How does the truck run? Oh, and how hard is it to source parts there?

Re: project mighty simple

Very nice. I was thinking about going with airbag suspension but I have no experience nor the knowledge on how to do it. Seeing on how you kinda got screwed by your friend, I'm having second thoughts about my friend. Hope your progress smoothed out. So far I think this would be the third airbag buil...

Re: Suspension Upgrade options

Nice as in harsh? A few members agreed that older s10 shocks bolt up to our trucks but I don't know the years or part numbers. You could always lower the truck and get better shocks. Like aftermarket coil springs and drop blocks. Using the lowering knuckles has a requirement to have a larger then st...

Re: 4runner bumper

I have seen a few members with the front bumper. Johnnyboy was one of em. Custom brackets or modified Toyota brackets to get em mounted up. And I think a little modification to bumper to match the body lines I think. I forgot which bumper had to be modified cause the bumper would flare out at the fe...

Re: finally got a pic up

Nice looking truck. What kind of mods are you doing or planning on doing? Sometimes using the attatchment method goes kinda glitches and looses the pic. It's a little easier and more reliable uploading the pics to your personal gallery on the board and linking the picture using the [pic] [/pic] meth...

Re: new from va-95 mm

Good looking truck. I am a little curious as to what direction you are going with on your truck. Good looking chrome Mazda mirrors. I'm currently using the black ones cause they were cheap and Mitsubishi wants too much for new ones. Lol. I check up on maxd50scene every now and then. It's still slow.

Re: My 89 Ram 50

Nice looking truck you got there. I would pick up some smoke paint for the clear lights to blend then in a bit to the body color. But that's me. You got an idea of what you'll do when the lights yellow? Just a thought.

I was just wondering long term as in it'll rust out in a few years after repaint. Stuff like that. Hope you get what you want out of it and document your progress on the site though. Other then the metal spot on the hood, truck looks great.

Re: Engiene idle after key is off?

Hi. What you are experiencing I think would be called dieseling. This happens with excessive carbon buildup in the head/block and that carbon buildup is igniting and sucking up fuel from your carb. You can run seafoam in your gas tank or slowly suck some in your carb via vac line while the engine is...

Re: This ebay item...

I agree with pennyman1 and reddevillhs17 on this. I would not trust that ebay item. You could also upgrade your alternator if You need the extra amperage for a sound setup or extra electrical loads.

Re: tail lights?????

Nothing wrong with the stockers. If Id want something different Id shoot some of that smoke paint on it. Just on the reverse lights, or on the turn signals, or the whole thing. Either way they stand out.

Im hoping youll have a build thread here for the swap. It will help your progress along with questions, and in a pos...

Re: Ram 50 Revival

Nice looking project truck. I wonder whats salvageable though. To me, I replace the engine and trans with new body harness and engine harness. As well as a bunch of accessories. I wonder how much damage the fire caused the structural stability of the cab. IE long effects.

Re: 89 Ram 50 2WD with 2.6L (Is there a check engine light)

Hi. There is a maintenance light in our trucks to remind us when our timing belt needs replacing. When you do replace the timing belt, there is a rocker switch under the cluster behind the right block off plate under the cluster. Just slide the switch to the opposite side, sliding it one side, then ...
