Re: New board forums. Need help.

The layout on this board is fine IMO. Maybe a few tweaks on the color. Some board have a like 2 or 3 choices to choose from. The subscriptions thing, so in order to use the classified sections you need a donation of $5 every 2 months? Also, how long would the subscriptions last?

Re: New From SoCal

Welcome to the site. You didn't want to make a new thread instead of making an introduction in another members thread? You can also start a build thread in the diesel section. Keep us posted on what how much your spending and where your sourcing your parts. I know some members on here have the diese...

Re: Flatbed 1987 Mighty Max

Cause there is no weight on the rear tires. Lol. It'll be different if and when you make the box for the flatbed.

Re: Flatbed 1987 Mighty Max

Huge pictures. Haha. Well, I would hang onto it. I dont really like the looks of trucks made into flatbeds but usually they are made that way for a reason. I'd keep it for the option to revert back. IMO.

Re: Front end leveling?

You mean you don't like the oem rake of the front? Well, it's about a 2 inch difference front and rear. You can raise the front 2 inches or add drop blocks to the rear to lower the rear.

Re: toggle switch on dash?

I never seen that before. Can you get a picture of it? You tried playing with the switch and seeing if it did anything? I'm pretty sure it can be aftermarket that's why. I've been wrong before.

Re: anyone ever install a pillar gauge pod?

Getting a little off topic now. Lol. We have a thread on adding speakers somewhere on the board. I have a 5" tach with shift light on my dash. I mounted it on the left of the cluster on the dash. The shift light I repositioned it so it's on the right of the cluster kind of hidden if you look in...

Re: pics of my truck

I liked my bench seat for only one reason. Seating in the cab for my brothers since both under 13. Truck laws here says no children under 13 allowed in the bed of a truck. Swapped to bucket seats for the extra leg room and comfort.

Re: pics of my truck

It's a little rough around the edges, but doesn't take away the fact that it's still a great truck. The gremlins attacking what part of your motor? Crank no start, no crank, or power at all?

Re: Is this a good deal?

250 for a shell? Well I would jump on it if I had a motor and trans to drop in it but that's me. Things about me buying cars like that are rust, rolling chassis, condition of frame and body. Since you got that covered, decisions yours man.

Re: Mikuni Carb Interest

Well, you can start a for sale ad in the classified section and maybe you'll get some hits. If anything you can always change the ad to *sold* of *keeping it*

Re: door panel arm rest.

You can do a 2 tone theme. If you like the tan interior you could change the color a bit and make it tan/black. A little personal touch. You got any interior shots since you got the idea of showing pics?

Re: NEWBIE

The electric fan is a great idea. I would recomend a fan with low amperage draw like a flex a light that way you don't put too much of a strain on the alternator, but ofcourse that doesn't mean you can't pick up a used electric fan from theocal pick and pull scrap yard. The cam, I am not too sure if...

Re: NEWBIE

Welcome to the board. Glad we have another potential turbo truck member. All I can say is the 4g63 swap costed me about 1800 in parts and misc crap to get it to run. Not counting gauges and the freebies I already had. Oh, and and I had to buy more parts to replace the parts that broke, like a fried ...

Camoit put a 4.3 v6 in his mightymax. Maybe similar mounts? You seen what mounts people use to put the 350 in a blazer that came with the 4.3?
