Just like the fenders - if he finds any for that price they will be junk. I like a good deal as much as anyone, but come on, this is retarded. He probably wants shipping for that price too...
There was a rear bolt on made for the d-50s years ago by suspension techniques - it was a bolt on but not the way you would expect. The center bushings bolted to the frame by drilling 2 holes into the frame, and fishing a square u bolt throught the frame; then the end links bolted to the leaf spring...
There were a few guys here in Pgh that were restoring army half tracks - the one had been outfitted with a drilling rig for water wells up in Tionesta, PA, which btw is near Oil city, the site of the first commercial oil well in the world. I wander if Col. Drake, the driller, ever thought that his w...
Ya gotta be kidding - no one is going to bother to sell fenders for that little. Upullits charge more than that and you have to take them off!!! I wish you good luck with that...
Don't worry - they will charge us all for mileage and tax whatever fuel we use. BTW, if you can prove you bought diesel fuel on a regular basis, (30-60 days) they can't fine you; this is from a wvo convertor here in Pittsburgh who spars with the new age " fuel revenuers". Reminds me of wha...
Did you check all the hoses under the hood, especially in the control box on the drivers side inner fender? If the lines are off or split in that box, it will lean out under load and lose power; my 88 with the 2.6 did the same thing and the hoses in the box were the culprit.
Seems odd, but the truth is that the new carb will work better far longer than a old mikuni carb that probably needs rebuilt, or worse, worked on by some who shouldn't have touched it in the first place. Not to mention the chance to get away from all the emissions BS that those mikuni carbs were sad...
makes sence its illegal - additives in it to lubricate are toxic to burn; although I have a waste oil heater for my garage that burns used motor oil and that is legal. It all about the road tax.
82-93 s10 shocks work on our trucks - also replace the suspension bushings with urethane ones - the lower control arms and strut rod ones are a must. Cut your bump stops in half to get more suspension travel.
wvo is bad if you use it straight - water is one issue as well as the pH of the wvo. The two together will literally eat up the fuel system. In cold climates (below 40 degrees), you need to heat the oil to prevent the wvo from gelling. It can be used if you treat it for the water and pH issues; best...
They are notorious for failing - a friend of mine has replaced his several times in the last couple of years. What year is your blazer - I have a friend about to part out a 90 jimmy - dont know if its the digital dash or not.
don't frget to cut the bumpstops in half front and rear so you still have some travel front and rear. For shocks, the best I found were tokico shocks - they have a bump stop inside to prevent crushing the shock in a bottom out condition. I had a set on my 1980 for over 20 years until they finally wo...
The only weber close to a bolt on is the 34 series emissions carbs - not a direct bolton, but not to hard to change, and definately will run better and still give good economy.
It is a programmable system that is highly flexible for just about any engine out there. There is also a lot of information on setup as well as programs to run for the more popular engines, such as the 2.6 and 2.0 mitsu engines.
The 89 does not have a check engine light - no Mitsu I know of with a carb has one. The computer for the carb is not that sophisticated and it was not required back then. The maintanance light is a mechanical switch off the back of the speedo as previously mentioned.
Its a manual pump right next to the carb. Check to see that the fuel filter isn't plugged; its located in front of the rear wheel on the drivers side by the tank.
The Magna intakes are a common swap for the conquest turbo cars. It requires swapping the thermo and throttle body mount to the other end to make it work on the truck / conquest setup; not a hard swap. The 2.4 injectors could probably be used, but the ecm for the 2.4 can't be modified to wotk with t...
Yes they are a smaller pattern 6 x 139.7 vs 6 x 135 for the Navi. A lot of aftermarket wheels are now coming slotted to fit both since they are so close.
