Sway-A_Way Torsion Bars

Postby yamahlr » Mon Jan 24, 2011 2:34 pm

I spoke w/ the salesman Brian @ Sway-A-Way Suspension, they have 37 pairs of the 27MM torsion bars for the 4WD pickup & Montero from 1990-2000.
They want to close these out and are selling for about $125 per pair. Part number is 1737.
He also said that this would fit the earlier models by changing out the rear torsion dogbone. I can't verify this though.
I bought the last pair of the P/N 1726 for the 1982-1989 4WD & Montero.
Please note that although they don't have anymore on the shelf, they will produce more if there is demand. He said that it won't be "discontinued" however the price will be higher if they have to set one for just one set.

I was going to buy a full set of Sway-A-Way 16 inch coil over shocks, air bump stops and tripple bypass shocks for my truck build. I had the bump stops on order for 3 months and kept getting the same run around. The machine shop is weighting on parts. From what I have herd is the main problem is they are going through a bankruptcy or somthing like that. All purchess go to a holding company then when they get enough orders the produce the parts. I had to cansel my order and then went with Fox for the bump stops. I might go with King for the rest but there about $400.00 more for each shock, not including the springs, so I think I stick with the Fox.
