time for a new carb

does any one know the numbers for carbs that will fit a 89 2.6L? like weber 32 36 DFEV? or a different brand

weber 32/36 dgev/dfav will work, or 34 CEC for emissions for stock or mildly modded. 38 dges "outlaw" for modded motors. Should also change over to an electric pump putting out 4-7 PSI at 50 or above GPH to feed it the right pressure and volume; the stock pump will overpressure the weber and cause it to flood. Putting a pressure reg on the stock pump will just blow the pump out because of excessive back pressure, I know from experience. Get the whole kit with the adaptors for the truck; the jetting will be close.

if i buy a weber carb that was used on something like a jeep or vw i would need to find an adapter plate right? which one would i need to buy i found thick ones and thin ones

if i buy a used weber from ebay that doesnt come with directions would someone on here be able to help me with it?

Or you could just buy that nice, brand new factory replacement,direct bolt on deal that Mike has for sale.And it would probably cost less than half of what you will spend altogether on the Weber and have none of the headaches of rigging up linkage or rebuilding the used one,or finding other installation parts needed.Just my .02

i just put a 34 dgec on my 82 d-50 and it runs great!! it was only 250.00 for everything at weber 1-866-WEBER

What all does the electric pump conversion involve? Is it just a block off plate and some wires?
