i can't stop my new weber that i just put on,from dieseling,its a 34/34dgec ordered it new from with the kit.I've done EVERYTHING i can think of,can anyone help? sincerly the bohog.thank you

i have a weber 32 36 dgev on my truck and got it to stop diesieling by putting larger idle jets in and lowered the idle as low as it could go without stalling and richened it up as much as i could

yes i hear you,but you should'nt have to change your jets out,if it's dieseling people tell me i've either got a vaccum leak,or to much gas,so i put a pressure reg. on it 3.5 psi,still diesel's no vaccum leaks,checked timing,its good,so i geuss i'll have to take it to the shop?

is the idle too high?

install an Anti diesel solenoid on the carb - it shuts off the fuel when the ignition is shut off. Hook it up to the choke wire and it will do the rest. Available from JoeTLC on ebay.

I lists the 32/36 DGEV, but I have the DFEV. Does anyone know if that part is the same between the two?

The part will work on both dgev and dfav; the difference is where the cable attaches to carb in relation to fuel bowl. Main jet is in same position.

Ok, so I ordered this piece and finally got around to putting it on today. The item in the ebay link above says it works on a 32/36 DGEV, so based on the above post I bought one for my 32/36 DFEV. This piece does not fit my carb. Can someone with a 32/36 DGEV get a measurement on the threads of their idle jet, so I know if they sent me the wrong piece or if my carb is actually different. I have a genuine Weber, so that's not the problem. Thanks

turn out the idle mix screw 1/2 to 3/4 turn. then turn the main idle screw out. The butterfly is open to far because the mix is too lean. Zipperd has been round and round with the same problem. A larger main jet won't hurt. To lean = engine run on.. You can preform a lean drop to get it to a final seting. To do a lean drop is easy. Just turn out the idle speed screw tell it comes off the seat. then turn it back where it just touches. Then turn 1/4 more turn. Then back out the mix screw so it runs. Now turn it in untell it dies. Then back out 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Next use the idle speed screw to set the idle rpm. should only need to move about 1 turn.Your done. rev tuen it a couple ot times and then shut it off. Engine run on should be gone. Good luck
