That particular unit is actually your oil filter housing. The sending unit rusty is talking about is on the bottom of the oil filter housing. The housing is directly under your alternator. Your welcome. :)

Also for reference, some of our trucks had sending units and the others had the switch. Didn't have both. Some people switch out their cluster with one with the oil pressure gauge instead of the idiot light.

No its not the oil pump. Its a sensor that reads oil pressure for the tach clusteer gauges
