New Head Bolts

I'm putting a new head on my 2.6l.
Do I have to put new head bolts on?
Is it recommended?

Yes or you will have problems later on every 30 to 40 thousand mile with the head gaskit going out. Spend the $120 and put in ARP studs. They are reuseable and you can torque the shit out of them. They recomend like 95 ft.lb in the studs VS 75 or so on bolts. Of course never over torque the 2 little ones in front.

They have an allen hole in the top. But you will need a deep 12 point socket. You can pick up a full set of craftsman metric and SAE at OSH hardware for like 14 bucks. You might need to modify the inside of the valve cover in a place or to. It's no big deal. Just put some grese on the top of the stud and put the cover on. Where the grese sticks to the cover just hit lightly with a grinder or somthing. I did it to my first gen.
