turbo swap?

theres a 90 eagle talon tsi awd for sale for super cheap can that turbo motor go in a d50? i know ill need a rwd tranny but is it worth picking up? what motor is in that car? thanks.

I think you will need a 2.0L mightymax truck transmission for that engine. The engine in the talon is a 4g63T. Theres a lot to the swap. Wiring has to be done, custom motor mounts or you can smash in the firewall. There are a few members here with the swap completed already that should chime in.

ya im not woried about the fabrication. and im thinking if i get the whole car i can use all the stock wireing still gona be a bit of work hopefully i can get it cheap.

Think they say the 90 sucks wiring wise or something like that. But yeah man, go check out Jeremy's site. It's more than helpful for the 4g63T swap. www.hothodcoffeeshop.com

If you have an 88 2.0 with a 5 speed you have the correct tranny. The car has a 4g63t, you will have to bash the firewall in or make new motor mounts to move engine forward, flip throttle body to other side of intake mani, new waterlines/oil lines, etcc... A bit of work but it is so rewarding/fun when finished

johnboy that link doesnt work. ya i know its gona be alot of work but it should be fun. im hopefully gona get the car tomorow. but the engines gona need a bid of work to get running again.
