G54B or JDM Cyclone 4G63?

Here we go again! Had a couple of hours to myself today and got to thinking. My neighbor wants to build a badass motor for me while I'm in Iraq. No complaints there.
Most of you know I discovered I had a turbo block in lil E's old truck and I've been given a bunch of Starion parts to complete build. But motor is torn completely down. I've recently been reading that to make serious HP, better have a fat wallet.
Now my buddy has a JDM cyclone motor, 5spd trans, turbo and has the harness near complete (he's been working on that). Deal just needs flywheel and a TB plate to change it around. I can probably pick it all up between 1k-1500. Maybe less. I've heard just by adding more boost, I can reach around 300HP. Not to mention more aftermarket support with 4g63 engines.
What to do?

Ok, you will need to get a bigger fuel pump but I have heard with the FI mighty max's that they are close to a 190lph pump so you may be set there, you will need a AFPR( adjustable fuel pressure regualtor to control pressure better). You will need atleast 550cc injectors, the bigger the better. Than you will either have a choice of a 14b or a 16g, I prefer 16g's because they take less boost to make more power but than they also spool a hair later. I would also recommend the 4G63 because they are the worlds 2nd strongest 4 cylinder. You will need a way to tune, I recommend DSMlink, a bit exspensive but WELL worth the money. Also grab a good clutch setup and that should be about it. All that will net you about 350HP, throw a SMIM and some headwork with cams you will be set for over 400hp.

You would have alot more options with the 4g63 for sure. Pretty much everything said above is what youd need, and if you do end up needing a fuel pump walboro 255's are like $100 on ebay. For tuning you could go many many ways with it. A piggyback system would probly be cheapest like an Apexi safc2 or something similar. Or you could go full standalone. We run an Apexi Power FC full standalone in the 240 and it runs great plus the full standalone offers more options tuning wise.

Sensors are different with the cyclone version versus the us 4g63 if I remember right. So if something brakes then sol until a replacement comes along. To each his own.

EDIT:300D50
REASON:concatenate double post

No firewall modding with the g54b but the starion guys are swapping em out for the 4g.

Well my neighbor is tuner savy so he's up to the challenge. The 4g63 was going into a 87 Starion (hence why I got the Starion parts). I'm hoping to find out what's on that cyclone motor and what's been done to it. If I go that route, my neighbor will still tear it down so we will know exactly what we have when its done!
Motor mount question...can I just get 2.0l truck motor mounts?
I've heard many guys having issues with the cyclone intake but have confidence in my neighbor! But if worse case, can't I just swap intake to US specs? I've heard the differences between JDM and US is the intake and injectors.

Starion rightside? I'm asking about mounts for the 4g63. My g54b was already mounted in the truck.

This is what I would do. Seems like the best option and would make for a cleaner install.

Whoa, y'all confusion sinks in. 2.0 is a narrow block, 2.6 is wide block. So how could a starion (wide block) trans work w/ 4g63? Or are you just saying tail section on 2.0 trans. Also, the whole starion motor mount on a 2.0 is odd. I'd figure you'd just use a 2.0 truck engine mounts. I dunno

My budget was cut short while I was doing my swap so I modified the firewall. Oem mm mounts were used. Also the tail extension housing is to put the shifter back in the stock location when moving the engine forward.
