Engine Question: About a year and a half ago I took a trip to California from Salt Lake City, Utah. By the time I arrived in California I was having an overheating problem changed out the thermostat to no avail. I also thought I had a bad head gasket. Replaced head gasket and found a little spot that had failed. I got it back running and still had the overheating problem. I still have the original Exhaust Manifold on the engine. Could the Cat that is part of the manifold be plugged and causing the problem?
Tranny Question: Same truck has the 4 speed manuel trans. I got ahold of a 5 speed from a 1985 model and want to change it out for fuel economy reasons. Will the 5speed bolt up to the g52b motor?
Thanks in advance
