hey has anyone done a rear swap for brakes to go from drums to rotors? id rather pay the $30 in the future for new rotors than $60 for new drums

Get a rear axle from a montero or montero sport that has rear discs. I haven't had the time to try to swap the rear disc setup off a 2nd gen montero to a 1st gen d50 axle

Its easier to pull the whole axle and cheaper in the fact that you don't have to replace bearings and seals on the rearend

If its from a leaf sring montero or sport, yes but it may be an inch wider. My 95 montero axle is a coil spring setup, so I haven't decided to mount it with bags ( I got all the arms and mounts to go with it) or cut the mounts off and hang on the leafs. The 95 also requires a driveshaft mod for the u joints. The 95 axle is a 9" rear like a ford 9" but much stronger, so I've read.
