does anyone have a 2nd gen with a nice push bar or winch bumper on it? i was looking for some possible plans or just a good idea for when i get the money to work on my truck

Sorry man but I think you gotta make your own if your gonna put a winch on it. Early 2nd gen are metal and the late 2nd gen are plastic. So either a custom cow pusher kinda deal or custom bumper for your plans. IMO.

Overseas in Australia the 2nd gen Mitsu trucks were known as L200s and down there is a company named ARB Industries (or something like that) that actually produced steel winch bumpers for the trucks that would bolt right on, and they would fit an american version truck. I found a distributor for them in NY close to me, but there are others across the US. They checked and said the bumper is custom made and could still be purchased and imported, and I believe the price was somewhere around $880. The second gens weren't as ignored overseas as they were here in the US, there are a bunch of parts out there if you're willing to spend the money

I added an ARB winch bumper to my first generation truck and I love it. Because ARB did not specifically make a Bull Bar for my first generation, I had to take some measurements and improvise. I went with an 86-95 Toyota 4Runner Bullbar and it fit perfectly. The only mod necessary was the mounts.



ARB does make Bullbar for the second Gen Pickups. It is ARB part # 3246010. ARB also make a snorkle for the second gen trucks. The bumpers are a little pricey, but ARB builds the best bumpers in the business.
