sat next to it on the freeway waiting for it to get towed home. then changed the clutch cable

At least you guys can work on it. I'm still gathering parts on mines. And waiting machine shop when my parts actually get there. Lol. After my vacation.

I finally got a response from the guy rebuilding my tranny. He told me three days, 18 days ago. :twisted: He swears he'll have it done Monday. As soon as I have it back I'm back on the road after 11 months. :mrgreen:

Just got the spare grille for the 86 ram today - $40.00 + 18.00 to ship and its brand new. Gotta love ebay!

I stared longingly at my truck today as I have done for the last 11 months waiting for a rebuilt transmission. The guy building it says he finally got it all together and discovered that it wouldn't shift correctly hooked up to some kind of dyno apparatus. He took it apart again and had his mentor come over to check it out. I've been waiting for 3 weeks. Sick of waiting. :evil:

11 months :o :o my god man its not that complected to rebuild a transmission, even with special order parts it shouldnt take this long.
