Vac issues

Postby 4doorciv » Wed Aug 19, 2009 3:08 pm

Well if you remember from my last topic I for the truck to idle. Well had some tinker time with it and installed a boost/vac gauge. The truck idles with the biss screw almost all the way out and has only 6 inhg. I'm going to go to my old college and have them put their smoke machine to it since no external leaks visable.

Oh and for the modified intake manifold, why does the egr runner go into the head? Pros and cons of caping in a state without emissions. My issues might be related to the modification.

Egr runner goes back into the head to collect the exhaust gases. Used a gasket on the block off plate and didn't help. Got a compression tester and a small air compressor. Would it work if I pressurise a cyl on the intKe stroke to fill the intake manifold and listen for hissing. Thinking only 15 psi max.
