Having trouble starting my truck

Hey guys i just started having this problem where my key doesn't want to work and i have to sit there n keep messin wit it till it turns on.. any ideas? :|

Auto or manual? If auto, check your neutral safety switch; if manual, could be the ignition switch on the column, corroded wiring on the starter or battery cables, or a failing starter.

Its a manual bro the problem seem to go away but ill check those things out thanks!!

There is also a starter relay near the fuse block that can cause that problem, although I have never had to replace one on my 1980.

Is everything else turning on when oyou turn the key, like interior lights and gauges powering up? If so then sounds like starter or solenoid or relay for starter, if not then most likely the ign switch
