my truck has been apart for a year or so, put it all back together and it wasnt charging. then discoverd i had to wires in the alt harness unplugged. one yellow, other black with yellow stripe, was positive these went back to coil but after hooking thm back up still no charge. Was wondering if anyone had a diagram of which wires go where on the coil of a 88 2.0

I am at work right now and get off late tonight. I might be able to help you out with this one when I get home or maybe tomorrow if someone doesn't beat me to it. I still have me oem engine harness in the truck and the motor is still out. I should be able to backtrace for you. You have a picture of what is unplugged for reference where I should start looking?

look on the coil and see if you have a black/yellow wire and a yellow/red pluging in on male connectors if you dont care
