Welcome to the board. Glad you made an intro thread. Well, our trucks are availible in diesel, but you already know that. These truck can last with the regular maintenance done like timing belt and all that good stuff. These trucks may jump timing and can de avoidable if maintenance was done IMO. If you really want another diesel then I'd say wait. I'm sure one would pop up somewhere. Nothing wrong with the gas engines though. I like the fact that our engines are interchangable with other more powerful motors Mitsubishi makes. Like the dsm 4g63 turbo motor found in the eclipse and galant vr4s.

Well it all depends on your setup like oem vs aftermarket performance, and overall efficiency of the carb and engine. If everything is perfect, you should see more then 20. Minor tweeks and others can hurt your mpg but give you a little bit more pulling power. Also depends on how you drive. I actually have no experience with the turbo diesel models so you might have to wait on their input.

I'm usually always on. I work a lot and on downtime I'm on. Others, well, got lives. I'm happy with my gas truck. 1989 2.0 maunual with a dsm 4g63 turbo swap. Currently waiting on a built shortblock but got way more potential then the oem g63b. Lots of other people on here do other things to these trucks like swap a v6 like camoit, or a small block ford v8 like someone else, or the station 2.6 turbo swap. All gas applications. A few others have the same 4g63 turbo swap as me as well. Hope you find what you want.
