Noob from Chitown

Postby boostin240 » Mon Jul 06, 2009 7:07 am

Hey folks,

Im a newb from Chitown. Me and my buddy just picked up a very clean, 2nd owner 1987 Mighty Max Sport model 5spd with 63,000 miles on it. Our intention is to do a 4G63 swap as we build a lot of DSMs in our garage so we are extremely familiar with the motor. We also plan on doing some touch up on the truck to bring it back to its old glory.

Im gonna post up some pics and hopefully ill start a build thread once we get going on it.

Thanks for the welcomes. I live near Ohare on the Northwest side of the City almost on the edge near the suburbs. It might be a bit before we do the swap as currently we have 3 eclipses with built motors getting put together. But as soon as we figure out an engine and get some money together we will be on our way to swapping it.

I have to do some research and figure out possible brake upgrades and differential upgrades. The other issue is going to be figuring out a way to get traction. Probably something that some slicks / drag radials will easily help with.

Not sure but was wondering if anyone is sponsoring the forum in anyway ?

I mean as in actual sponsors, reason why I am asking is because we are launching an online store and I have tons of accounts with aftermarket companies. I can get many parts for sick prices. I was just wondering if the forum needed a sponsor to give the members some good discounts on various parts.
