I would use drop spindles. Cutting springs is asking for trouble later on.

That would depend on how low you go. the amount of deflection from stock would be min. Look in the rear end section under stock engine and power train, for a post about pinion angles. It helps you to under stand what to look for.

i bet this one will make the sawzall section. but some use s10 drop spindles and 4" lowering blocks. if you cut the springs it will ride like ass too.

With 14" you might - it will depend on the backspace of the wheel. Be sure to cut the stop on the lower control arm in half to get more travel on compression. To compensate for the 4 inch blocks, raise the center carrier bearing up by using either large washers or making a spacer from 1/4" plate for each side.

Well, if you wanna make it to the sawzall section, one complete coil would drop the truck 2inches. So one and a half coils would get you the 3 inches. Also removing the middle leaf would get you 2 inches, and get angled blocks if you don't wanna get spacers or washers to change the pinion angle. Drop spindles if I remember correctly were a 17 inch rim minimum cause of the lower ball joint touching the rim but don't quote me on that. You can also find lowering springs if you search google. As for air shocks, Nissan hardbody rear shocks fit our trucks. Don't remember the fronts. Been too long since the old mightyd50 site for me to remember.

Lowering cois are made for the drop with stiffer rates to comp for the drop with a good ride. Cutting stock coils screw up the rate and turn the ride to shit. If you are wanting to stay with the stock 14" wheels, use the drop coils and shorter shocks
