4x4 auto raider diesel swap?

i have an 87 raider 4x4 auto 4 cyl GAS. 8500 miles!!!! ihave a 4d55 and want to do a swap but not a hacked up job. any advice?

lots,lol i did the same about 2yrs ago or so......pretty straight forward....being its an auto....you have to modify the 4d55 starter to work on the flexplate for the torques converter....take the hog ring off the starter gear, remover the gear. flip it over. now check your clearance.....if it is too close grind off a little,reinstall and check again,,,repeat till you have full engagement and full release clearance.

sorry been super swamped. i ran a set up off the other sde of the throttle lever on the pump. there is a little hole i drilled in it and made a bracket.

used the 2.6 pan. cut the pickup in the middle extend it about 4 inches to hit the lower sump. fun huh.
