This is a 15 day pole to help me decide what rim to order. Thank You for your imput. Please only vote once.
I had the tire guy come by and show me some rims and tires.
I lean towards the rim on the right. But I also like the rim on the left. What do you think.
Rim size is 16 inch. 7 inch wide on the front. 10 inch wide on the rear.
Main diferance is the BIG holes on the left rim. It is a polished rim. The left rim is more indrustral looking.

The one on the left is an American Baja Polished The one on the right is an American Out Law 2 Spun finished.

Tires I might use. 7 inch front 10 inch rear

found a major hold up on the rims. I picked up 1 rim and tire. A front one, cost $400 Now the hold up s studs. I have spent 2 days trying to find some that fit with out to mutch mods. I found some chevy ones that pop right in the front, but the rears need some grinding .

what was the problem with the studs? did you need longer ones to fit the alloy rims?

Yes the studs were to short. I need to sit down and wright up an up date on my build thread covering the pit falls of the studs and every thing else so far.

yeah, I noticed that the studs were really short when I was swapping rims around last night. My 20" didnt allow much more than a few mm of threads to show through, only got about 10 turns out of the lugs.

my isuzu rims are much better about that, the studs show a good 1/2 inch, and Ive been told that anything more than 3/8 is "enough" for a light truck. I think I would run the math before I drove it around with that little tho.

also, my isuzu trucks have the same thread size on the studs, and they use the same wheel-flange-separate-from-brake-hat in the front. They might be worth looking into for stud replacements, I might be able to take a closer look if you want.

Sorry if I might have gave you the wrong impression. But I have solved my problem. The front end is now a 2000 Nissan Extera / Frontier 2X4. and the rear is 97 Isuzu Rodeo. I spent several hours at Pep Boys with a Micrometer mesureing sholder widths. I didn't want to drill out the hubs. But I did need to grind down the sholders on the rear studs in order to clear the disk brake roter. I will explain the hole operation in my build thread under first gen. http://www.mightyram50.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=970 There will be some good tricks that I show on how to check fit and instalation of the studs.
