What size tire should i run, i just have a 3" drop in the rear. Also any recommendations on shocks my truck is real bouncy now.

For tires a 225-50-17 will be close to stock height, a lower aspect ratio will make it shorter in front; for the rear, a 235-45 should fit nicely. Tokico shocks work wonders on our trucks- they have built-in bumpstops inside the shocks to prevent shock failure on lowered trucks. I got over 20 years out of mine before they finally died, and that included a lot of heavy hauling before I redid the truck. Also, cut the bumpstops in half all around- the bounce maybe hitting the stops too soon due to the lowering.

How much sidewall do you want and/or do you want it approxiamtely the same size as overall stock tire diameter? I think 215/45 fit nicely on 17" chevy/gm wheels. If you want a little taller sidewall maybe go up to 50, a little wider maybe 225.

Also about shock, I am running belltech drop shocks and they are super smooth. They are a little pricey though, I have heard Toxic drop shocks work decently also, and they aren't too expensive.

You could grind the tabs down on the front hubs, and the ring on the rear. Use acorn buldge lug nuts and the wheels will be lug centric vs. hub centric

Ok this thread is kinda old, but I just had to say LethalEthan, you are one knowledgeable dude; great answer!

I ended up getting my Titan wheels machined to fit the hubs at a dece price, but grinding the hubs was always an option...

haha thanks, btw guys i run 225/45/17 tires on my escalades and they fit perfect. They are almost right on with the stock tire size on a mightymax and my isuzu. We tried fitting a 245 onto them but theres no way a 245 tire will fit on a 7.5 wheel.
