YAY! It was indeed the ecm, i just got it back yesterday with an apology for the bad repair the first time I sent it in.. so she's running on all 4 cylinders once more:).

My advice to anybody sending a unit in for repair is include printouts of any correspondence and also a note stating what the problem is.. I even scanned and emailed them a wiring diagram that the garage had given me which clearly pointed to pin 60 as the trouble maker.
