WTB AC compressor

Postby MainstreaM » Sat Sep 04, 2010 6:51 am

Needed for a project, but not just any old AC compressor. Early model York style like this:

Mounting bracket is a must.

Project details will come later this year. ;)

Thx

oh,,,,,,,,, i see,,,, its very similar to the 4d55 diesel compressor. i think that one is also a 2cyl and a 2 stroke with reed valves for intake and exhaust..... i have seen them on e-bay i think they are very common on most 70's fords as well. what you got in mind kane....an ac compressor for air on an off road rig,,,,huh,,,huh....think so lol

! have a couple of those sitting from trucks I dismantled or removed . I am not sure if I have the bracket for the one compressor; the other one is still in use on my 1980 as a modded alternator bracket for a small case gm alt swap. I will check and lyk.

I've got a fullsize york off a Jeep. Need the 2.6L brackets. The York I have may or may not work as the Mitsu ones were the "mini york"...a smaller version of what could be found on just about every 60-70's american made car.

Car-parts.com, Haven't had much luck getting oddball stuff like this through them. Now if it were for an 87 Chevy pickup, no problem.

Yeah, need for OBA on my Turbo MPI Raider...more on that later.
