I'm looking for a TC05 turbo for the '83 4d55. Would like to get 2, one to have as back up. Please let me know what condition they are in and how much you want.

Whats wrong with yours? Have it rebuilt. They don't last more than 50,000 before they let oil past the journal bearing. Believe me , I've done more of these than anybody. Let me know if you need a core though. Also I recommend against the home mechanic doing his own rebuild due to oversize parts needing to be installed most of the time which requires a honing machine.

I don't have one, I don't even have the truck, YET. I was looking for turbos with the 3 bolt flange, and this truck came up in my search. But after studying it a bit, I wanted one as I have been looking for a small pickup to haul stuff around. I'm doing a twin turbo on my car that has a greddy manifold (3 bolt flanges). That's why I wanted to get 2 if possible (or 1 as I have a TC05-07a already). I picked up 2 TC05 from Starions but due to the rear housing having flappers for internal wastegates, it hits the manifold, not allowing it to be able to bolt up (if I change the flanges).

Looks like I'm getting a hold of one. If someone has another good one (or 2, 1 for back up), I can pay or we can do a trade if you're interested in the 2 Starion turbos, or the TC05-07a (brand new, it has 3 bolt flange also, will come with a shiny intake funnel). Or a Toyota CT26 turbo. Or we can work something out.

So Mike, if I send you a starquest turbo and the parts, you could rebuild it for me? LMK.

Even though I am capable Robert..... I even leave mine to the pros! They know how to balance them and get the best parts.
