Site Suggestions...

Postby RusTy Max » Thu May 07, 2009 4:24 pm

This is where you might have a suggestion or comment about the site.. Let us know... FEEDBACK is our friend!

FIRST on the agenda. Suggestions about the site's FRONT PAGE
http://www.mightyram50.com

What can we add, change, do, any and all suggestions will be taken into consideration.

I'm thinking just one big logo featuring trucks... with a "click to enter" somewhere on it... Or a mission statement... either way whatever we do will be a "CLICK TO ENTER" type of thing... Let's start brainstorming!

One thing that bothers the hell out of me you can't go to a certain page on a multiple page forum, one thing i LOVE about 4x4wire.com is that when you click on a thread, it takes you to the last post you havent seen. It wonderful

if your looking at the front page... you'll see an image beside someone's name that look like...
Image

Click that and it will take you to the last post that you haven't seen yet! Also if it has two pages just click the "2" beside the topic and to page 2 you will go!

BUT right now we're trying to iron out the details of the FRONT PAGE!

Honestly I find the front page rather annoying, I would much rather be taken straight into the forum.

This seems like the wrong place for this post, but here goes...
I've been looking for info about fuel pump problems & installation with the 2.6 engine. I've tried the Search feature, and when using the obvious key words, get the following:
The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: pump.
The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: fuel.

So - how does one get any info about fuel pumps?

Make ihe icon bigger. That will make it easer to see and add a note like . To last post.
How about a place on the front page for the site owner to make important announcements. Just a little box that will have text that is bigger to grab your eye right off the get go.

Is there any way to imbed HTML mark up in a submittion? So if I use html in the post it will come out the way I want to se it. Ya know what I'm talking about?

Maby there is soe kind of
mark up here
code thing some one has made as a mod.

Just make your bookmark for the forum not the portal ;)

....Firstly...I could make the image bigger if Mike says to do it, secondly yes there is an option to allow html but that could be quite a vulnerability to the site

i never knew that icon was there. 10 pixel just ant big enough. Max tell u what,, in my spair time between running a business, delivering concrete, going to the bank for deposits, refinanceing my home to a 10 year loan, making dinner, feeding the dogs, getting the mail, billing customers, sales tax, and building a truck I will work on a new front page. Then i'll post it on my server 4 you to look at, only if rusty max can't find the time. I have time while the shower is warming up. :)
