Here you guy fellas...I have started on my 1986 MM build..
This will be a daily driver so it wont have too much under the hood as much as the externals. IE: paint wheel, paint etc.
I will have plenty of parts left over from this and a parts truck that i picked up for this project so please feel free to email me with any questions or parts we can swap for. I need a grey carpet, upper dash cover, and other misc parts.
This is a 2.0.

the rust on the cab is taken care of..i have a rocker setup that goes 5" into the cab and up to the molding...the body guy doing the work does some really nice work on both steel and fiberglass race cars.

The bed is coming off this week so i can clean the frame and add por15 sealer.
I picked up my 5lug toyota hubs, and will redrill the rear axles and throw some nice disk brakes on there.
..
this is a small competition with a B2000 truck that my brother built. added some pics...
,
so you guys help a brother out and let these mazda guys a run for their money with our mitsus

He needs a dash?? He needs a cab !!

A Cab? WTF? That cab he has is in almost perfect condition

The replacement cab i got for my '85 needed Inner & Outer Rockers, Cab Corners, Floor Pans & Cab Mounts. But it was still in pretty good shape.

uhmmm ... I think you need to re-think your objectives here ... I personally would start over with a different platform with more support. Don't get me wrong, I love my MM.... but I wouldn't try and do a competing build against a rotary powered B series ... No matter what you do to the MM, the B ends up being cooler just because it has a Wenkel under the hood.

Just my 2 cents.

4G63's can give any rotary a headache on the track...but that is not my intention..its more of a cruzing thing.
We build rotary engine race cars for a living so I kinda want something new...we have our logo on the b2000 truck.. (maxD50) and there has been big advances in rotary engine performance parts so reliability has been improved.

Couple of you are not thinkin like the rest of us. If you call a cab with MISSING rockers and cab corners almost perfect, you are out of your mind. Yes it can be fixed, but there are plenty of cabs around that don't need that work. I personally don't use rusty cabs. I have yet to see one be repair to MY standards. Im against a bondo cab. Ask TYE, his cab almost flew off the freeway from rusty mounts.

attach a parasailing chute and you just invented a new extreme sport lol ... i'd just hate to be the person the rest of the chassis is aimed at :)
