That FTO was sweet!!!! Did you have the msd coil and then added the msd controler? Or did u put it all on at the same time? I'm surprised that carb isn't to big, I've got a 32/36 on my 2.0 and not sure if it is to much gas or not.

I fitted the two together and the carb is too big, it runs too rich, but I can't afford to swap it now. I still get a nasty hesitation when pulling away at low revs. I wish I'd gone for a 32/36!

The trucks being a pain in the ass at the mo, struggling to get it into first gear and second is stiff.

Change out the gear oil from conventional to synthetic. My 1980 was the same way before I changed it, now I have to be careful on downshifts because it will go into 1st real easy; the steering wheel hurts when you bounce off of it,lol.

New oil didn't help and its got worse very quickly :(

I have found a cheap Starion, but don't think I have the cash for a conversion, or a gearbox rebuild.

I've looked in to a rebuitld kit here and it was $176 but that was about a year ago
