After spending a couple of hours in the shop messing around with my truck I thought, "how hard is it to take a truck bed off?" Well to my surprise, when kept out of salted roads, very easy. Well getting the bolts out was easy. After all I have never worked with something this large before and after getting the bolts out I slowly lifted the bed off with a floor jack. Bad Idea, turns out the bed is pretty soft and bends easy. After hours of trial and error I finally got the bed off, when all I really had to do was hook two chains, or ropes to the four corners of the bed to make an X and lift it out with a come along. Well after that I decided I would make a flatbed, what for? Who the hell knows, I just felt like doing something rather than waste gas doing doughnuts, burnouts and 2x4'n. So as a temporary deal, I have the flatbed made out of a piece of plywood I had laying around, and screwed the lights into the bumper, but will improve it with a metal frame (maybe) and 2x6's (defiantly).
SO HERE IS MY QUESTION,
What should I do with the bed? Keep it turn it into a trailer, get $150 from the Pick n' Pull or just sell it to someone?
P.S. I had just gotten done 2x4'n and I didn't feel like washing it in 35°F weather. Sorry about the f-ing huge pictures
