Hello there,

I'm new to the MM/Ram50 world, but have quickly become swept up in how beautiful these machines are. I was lucky enough to be able to acquire one relatively cheap, I paid $1000CAD for this:

1989 Ram50
Standard
Blue Exterior
Blue Interior
Cassette player w/ blown factory speakers
Stock 2.0 liter
150,000 km (93,205 mi)
Included a canopy

Shop looks uninsulated. That sounds cold at the thot in Canada. Neat idea on the dash speakers and killer head unit.

It's beyond cold during the frosty mornings, though once some snow packs on and around it, its not too bad. We have an old Bunn Industrial Coffee machine in there w/ a giant thermos to keep warm -- and if that fails we can just turn on the cutting torch and huddle around it.

Yesterday wasn't the greatest day to snap pics of the new bump/canopy. I'll try and grab some today.

Sorry for not replying more often, I'm currently in school and have slowed down my work on my truck. I'm happy to report that she's still running strong -- except for one incident involving my truck at my college's parking lot. I don't know who did it, but someone who doesn't know how to drive hit my 50 while I was in class. I came back to find some new dents on my rear driver side wheel well.

I can easily fix it, but I'm still keeping a lookout for anyone parking a white colored (possibly a truck) with blue paint on one of its bumpers... :angelic-halo:

As for speaker sizes? I believe my Alpine type-S components are 6.5inch, BUT you'd have to refer to the Mounting Diameter of the speakers you eventually buy to figure out how big the hole has to be. I found that any speaker over six inches were pushing it in terms of actually getting it to mount nice and good. Hope that helps :)
