1980 Dodge d-50 Pickup

Postby Rose » Fri Dec 10, 2010 10:39 pm

1980 Dodge D-50 4 X 2 pickup truck. Automatic 4-2.6L. ~ ~ My retro ride ; ) ~ ~ Runs super and starts on the first turn...every time (even after sitting unused for three months) it's amazing. All original and the outside is pretty clean (it has the original yellow wheels even) ...however, the inside needs some makeup ie: splits in the dash, split in seat, loose headliner. (It was my plan to redo it completely, but my health won't allow for that now). The odometer has just turned over recently (100 K). This truck has viable possibilites to be included in classic vehicle shows, with minor investment on the interior.

I have pictures posted on Craigs List in the Snohomish WA area if you are interested in seeing pictures...I don't know how to post pic's here.

You think a dash is a minor investment?

Ya, but you just bought the NOS dashpad from Mike, so getting one isn't an issue. Its even the right color...

The dash is and has been an issue with me also. It isn't pretty. It was my plan to refurb this truck completely (well not completely, as I like the exterior a little retro looking). Once my kiddos were off on their own, my house was in order and then I would get to spend quality time with my retro ride...I had loose plans of redoing it and taking it around the countryside showing it in classic car shows (my hubby has a retro ride also). But plans change, and health issues have changed mine, and now someone else can live the dream :) This is a great forum to read what other people are doing with their D-50s and I will miss being part of it.

My avatar started out life looking just like your's. I had plans to repaint it to stock, but I was overruled by my painter. You are too far away for me to buy yours, and I already have 3 of these trucks, 2 other full size trucks, and 2 cars.
