Bless you TurboMax!! I know it's a lot of time and effort to post all of this info again, but it's definitely worth it. I appreciate it, anyway. I'm half heartedly considering the turbo swap for my truck, and your pioneering effort is very valuable. Thanks! And NO, I have no interest in a 4G63t swap.

turbo ram wrote:Grate job Turbo Max on all this useful info on the swap, not only are you explaining it but you also have pics and diagrams is awesome.I ran into the same issue with my a/c and had to mod my existing brackets and fab new pieces. The main reason was that the compressor that was on my truck wasn't that common and hard to come by so I found one that was more common and that could easily be found out at the jukyard. I flushed the system which was quite dirty and vaced and filled and it's been ice cold.

Thanks. I'm just trying to help those doing the swap. There's been a few 2.6T swaps done here, just not enough info available especially since alot of info was lost on the old site.

Although I typically lean towards the 4G63's, I also very much appreciate your 2.6L truck and the build thread as well. The awesomely factory-looking swap that you have done is exactly how I would have done it. Very well done!

Good luck on your swap. If you run into any problems feel free to ask and I'll help if I can. Also, if you have a chance start a project thread with of your swap and include some pics.

Went ahead and worked on adding the rear factory flare on the driverside. Had to cut the flare some due to my rocker panels. On the plus side, it looks like I gained an inch of lowering due to the flares (flares extends 1" below wheel well). :)

IGNORE THE WHEELS, STILL HAVEN'T CONVERTED THE REARS TO 5-LUG YET.

Thanks.

Here's pic I downloaded from the old site you might like. The rear flares also have been modified to fit the custom rear bumper.
