I o2 sensor does almost nothing on a OBDI car, check your wires, plugs, cap and rotor. Check for anything that looks wore down or bad.

As maxd50 said check your dist. cap see if there are any cracks or anything and if there is any condensation under the crap. Either one of those problems and it should be replaced. Also check plugs/wires

did you ever find out what your problem was? I have a 94 2.4 EFI and mine has been sounding real rough lately. when i start it it runs fine for a bit then bogs down [i would say under 1000RPM is correct.. although i don't have a tach  ]

if i give it some gas right away it comes back and runs fine for a while again, then repeats the process. if i don't give it any gas when it bogs down it almost dies, and if i wait that long to give it some gas when i push the accelerator it damn near kills the whole truck.

when i'm driving it on the road its fine, but not just sitting idle. we've adjusted my throttle cable, all new spark plugs, wires, and dist. cap... maybe your fix could be the same for the problem i'm having?
