Reseal, rebuild or let alone?

Reseal, rebuild or let alone?

83 diesel max, just got it. IP pump has a slight seepage from what looks like between the pressure head and the ip body. It is enough to slowly seep down to the oil pan but not enough to drip in the driveway.
The engine runs great, starts right up, and restarts are immediate. There is some smoke at startup, first 5 seconds lots of smoke, then mild smoke for a minute or two, then clear unless I step on when driving. No miss, lots of power (intercooled turbo).

So if I pull this ip when it is running good now...what would be gained by total rebuild versus replacing a couple of gaskets? Estimated mpg increase? Estimated life of pump not knowing its past and knowing that it runs good now?

Thanks all

Leave it alone. Its more than seals. Needs a new bushing in housing which most shops send the housing to bosch for. Whats your mileage now? Is it a 4wd or 2wd? Wait till it dies. It will eventially die due to air being sucked in. At that point ,have pump redone and injectors.
