Need alittle advice

Need alittle advice

Postby bosn » Mon Nov 01, 2010 5:03 pm

I do not know when my belts were replaced last. I plan on going through the entire engine this smmer, Can I inspect the belts and be sure of their remaining life span? I will replace them this summer without a second thought but just want to be sure they'll make it that long. If I have to replace them now they sould be good after I go through the rest of the engine at a later time. Any advice is good advice.

Make sure you change your timing belt every 40K miles. It's a lot cheaper than rebuilding the engine.

i cant remember what the actual service manual said but i do remember that "fords" recommendations were alot different that Mitsubishi. and i think mitsu's was sooner than later like ford was....and it was the same belt.
