Has anyone udes a fuel cell yet ?

I already know that aftermarket and factory tanks are unavailable for 2nd generation trucks because I have been down this road before. Actually the truck I got my new tank out of is the truck I am now rebuilding, so I have a good condition one that was boiled out already, but if and when that one goes, I may be screwed, because they are getting hard to find, and shipping them is almost impossible as I discovered. I have thought of using a plastic racing fuel cell during the rebuild and fabbing up mounts to put it in the same location as the stock one instead of in the bed, where the roll bar and spare will already be. Has anyone else tried this yet, and if so, what model and company tank fit the best ? Things are pretty tight under there already, so I'm just looking for the best alternative to make it work well.
Plus plastic DOESN'T RUST !!!
