couple questions on my rig

So... how strong is the 92 5spd tranny? not sure the code if they have different trans, mine would have been bundled w/ the 2.4 sohc fi motor.
is there anything with these motors/trans i should know about? sucky stuff...?
all i really know is these things were quite well built for their time

well i'm not that knowledgeable about transitions but I've heard the 5 speed is pretty solid until around 250hp. I haven't tried that much power but the five speed in my raider has survived quite a pounding. If your truck is 2 wheel (which your caption looks like it is) i believe starion transmitions are almost a direct fit. I understand that they are good to around 400 hp unmodified. thats just my two cents

Yours is gonna be a v5m21.
It otta hold 400ish in 1-4 but from what i hear you give here WFO in 5th expect that tranny to be done.
Theres a guy thats making tranny stregthening pans that otta fit your tranny, there supposed to help with deflectionand blah blah, Bout 120 a pop
I had a 2.4 similar to yours in mods cept no P&P with cam regrind, mine ran fucking good I thot for what it was. Pretty bullet proof and I drove mine damned hard.
