Hello,
My Mighty Max (having now dragged us from Vermont to Arizona) is starting to lose the transmission. I'm calling ahead into western AZ and southern Cali to find one. What years and engines will swap in? Mine is a 1989 2.6L 4x4, what years will swap in? Can I take a transmission out of a 2.0L truck?

I found a 2wd transmission, can I mate my 4wd transfer case to it and put it in? Are they the same transmission?

Yes, swap the tailshaft housings and the transfer case will line up.
