any one have converted there tail lights/interior lights to leds let me know where u got lights and how was the install and prices thanks

Got leds in my gauge cluster they are nice. Kind of expensive but worth it. I plan to convert everyting else inside to led in due time. I'll post back when I find the site I bought then from

Used the 1156 conversion bulbs when they first came out - wasn't happy with their brightness, or lack thereof. May try them again now that they seem to be a lot brighter.

Somewhat old post, but I just managed to find my way back here with all the changes.

As far as LED conversion, I'm skipping the aftermarket and going straight to hacks. Some minor soldering and modification of the light fixtures and basic LED modules and 10mm LED will do the job nicely.

Those modules will work nicely. I'm using the rounds for markers/signals, and the straight units for tail/brake. I bought some plain 10mm superbright LED with 40ohm resistors to replace the backup lights. They also sell SMLED chip units for replacing dome lights, but I'm still working out how to modify the silly little lens my 1st Gen truck uses so I can fit one.

When I get to doing the re-fit, I'll post pics in my build thread in the 4x4 section (though I'll likely wait til the boards migrate properly).

Please keep us posted with an update when you do the conversion. I am really interested as to how this will turn out.
