so if any of you happened to catch my post in the noob section, you'll know I have a very rust max.
I started the sheet metal repairs today. This is the first time I've done work like this, so I'm learning a bit as I go.
I decided that instead of trying to stitch new metal in perfectly, I would just spot weld the panels in and then seal them up with an OE similar seam sealer. I figure if its good enough for mitsubishi, its good enough for a quick fix. I got my sheet metal by cutting up the fenders from an isuzu parts car I picked up recently. It was handy in places to have the metal pre bent, and I tried to make good use of it.
Heres what I'm up against on the drivers side. You can see I threw some angle iron in there to tie the door post back into the body mount.
The passenger side wasn't so bad so I started there as a warm up.
