Postby minimotos95 » Thu Jul 29, 2010 11:37 pm

i currently have random buckets w/o headrests (or 40/20/40 split bench IDK), which are the main problem with my MM. i am looking for some high back seats that sit close to the floor.

currently on CL is....
2g DSM ($200)
91 integre
02 WRX (probably more than i want to spend)
3rd gen camaro
4runner (only $20 for all 4 and " fronts pretty tore up ")
03 cavalier ($50)
87 audi (kushy :))
Beretta Z26
83 Porsche 944
or keep waiting for a deal on CL....

or what do you guys recommend?

In my 83 Im running a set of old Wolfsberg Jetta Recaro Turing seats

I used my stock bucket seat rails, drilled new holes and in they went. best $70 I've spent at a salvage yard. But these seats are very hard to find. I actually pulled them from a wrecked 280 Z that someone jery rigged in. Only way I know they are from a 80's Wolfberg Jetta is cause I used to know a guy with one and had the same seats in them. Same color and patern too. Not sure what door handels you have on your truck, but if you have the long style door handels the side bolsters of these seats will hit the handels.

I tried putting the 1g dsm seats in. You gotta use the mm rails. Currently running 1997 Honda del sol seats with 92 civic rails. Only got 2 bolts holding down each seat without drilling but they don't wobble. One in the front and one in the back diagonally. I put the 1g dsm seat belt latches where the Honda ones go. Sit prettly low and really comfortable cause they hug you.

we put 88 porsche 944 seats in our truck, used the bracket that held the bench to the floor and bolted the seats on and added 2 bars between them to keep them level

I put the stock seats from my 01 rodeo in the MM when I put leather seats in the rodeo.

My MM had a bench, so I used the rails from the isuzu. The isuzu bolt pattern is about an inch too long and an inch too narrow, so I mad adapters for the width out of some aluminum, and used blocks under the front bolts to fix the length.
