a lot of people have problems with pacesetters welds being shitty and cracking. I followed a thread on club4ag.com for a while, this guy had bought a pacesetter for his 86 carolla and it completely fell apart within a year. If you do get a pacesetter because its your only option (most of us here will find ourselves in this situation) most people recommend taking it to a shop and having it re-welded.

I've heard that about pace setter, i had to really spend some time fixing the flange weld it certainly would have interfered with exhaust flow. The reason I went with pace seter is because i could find nothing else where did you find the tri-flow? I figure these trucks weigh so much, and they lack power in NA form, i will be using the top end of the power band anyway so it is just as well.

Got mine recently from doug thorley direct- they had several left on the shelf. If they don't, they have the patterns and can still build one for you .

I was fortunate enough to get one direct. I believe there was only 5 left when I puchased mine for only $200 and that included shipping. My ceramic coated pacesetter is for sale if someone wants it. It has never been used. Make an offer.

I think that most the folks that get the pacesetters don't make any reinforcement bracketry to stop movement and vibration.

I've had several of them on all sorts of cars. Add in a flex joint that's at least 8" long. The torque in the 2.6 only rocks it slightly. NOT like a fwd car. (they usually have torn mounts anyway) BUT the movement is still there.

I had to cut my collector, bend it away from the trans and reweld a pie-cut to have it go strait out the back. (pacesetter)
I think I have a pic in my gallery??
